Vintage Tribal Choker

A vintage Afghan Kuchi tribal choker, handmade by the nomadic tribes of the Afghan-Pakistani border region. Five rows of small turquoise and coral beads connect a row of brass leaf-shaped pendants across the front, with larger beads and silver-tone metal toward the back. Finished with an S-hook clasp.

Kuchi jewelry has been worn by the Pashtoon nomadic tribes for generations — pieces incorporating coins, glass cabochons, and metalwork that travel with them between seasons. Each piece is genuinely one of a kind.
